Geostatistical analysis of static level evolution between 1995-2005 and 2007-2017 in San Luis Potosí Aquifer, México

Knowing the piezometric levels evolution of an aquifer is essential for planning use water resources in cities central México, such as San Luis Potosí, whose population depends almost entirely on groundwater. Applying geostatistical methods from georeferenced data can reliably provide information spatial variability valley piezometry. The objective this study to evaluate static Potosí Valley, through interpolation analysis by kriging method. For both periods, experimental variogram was adjusted Gaussian model and method with best results ordinary kriging. From it obtained that decay more critical zone valley, while zones northwest towards south, have shown important recovery; values decrease coincide areas where density greater.
